Park and visitor regulations

1. The Elbauenpark is accessible to visitors via the official entrances during the seasonal opening hours. A purchased admission ticket is required. Children under the age of 6 may only enter the park if accompanied by a person responsible for supervision. The valid prices and opening times for the Elbauenpark are displayed at the respective entrances. For the period from November 1st of the year to the end of February of the following year, access to the park is possible without an admission ticket (exception: special events).
2. There is no entitlement to use all facilities and equipment in the park at any time. Visitors must leave the park at dusk. This does not apply to special events or visitors to the park catering facilities.

1. Tickets must be scanned at the readers when entering the park. Visitors must always carry their admission ticket (original annual ticket) with them until they leave the grounds and show it on request. We reserve the right to carry out checks at any time. Admission to the Jahrtausendturm, the Butterfly House and the ride on the Elbauen-EXPRESS is only possible on presentation of a valid day ticket, group day ticket or annual pass. The Green Ticket does not entitle the holder to visit or use these three attractions. Children up to the age of 6 are only permitted to enter the aforementioned attractions free of charge if accompanied by a supervising adult.
2. Day and Green tickets lose their validity when you leave the site for the first time. It is only possible to return to the grounds after leaving for a short time if the ticket has been stamped with a day stamp by the authorised staff (cashier, supervisory staff) at the exit.
3. Annual tickets are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase or desired date. They are personal and non-transferable and are only valid in conjunction with a photograph of the holder. In the event of non-compliance, the annual pass will be withdrawn without entitlement to compensation. Any attempt at fraud will be penalised (see § 11).
4. The exchange of tickets or monetary compensation is excluded. Lost tickets will not be replaced.

1. The use of the playgrounds and equipment as well as the unlit paths in the dark is at your own risk. The same applies to the use of paths that have not been gritted or cleared of snow. The bridge over Herrenkrugstrasse (Angersteg) may not be used with inline skates, skateboards, longboards, cars from Happy Roadz or similar; cyclists must push their bike.
2. In the event of special weather conditions (e.g. rain, icy rain, snowfall, storms, thunderstorms, etc.), the management is authorised to close the Elbauenpark or parts of the park grounds or the attractions to visitor traffic. Tickets that have already been validated will not be refunded.

Visitors are requested to hand in any lost property they find at the ticket office. Lost property will be stored in the Elbauenpark within the specified time limits.

For a pleasant stay in the Elbauenpark, every visitor must behave in such a way that decency, safety, cleanliness and order are guaranteed and other visitors are not disturbed or harassed. Parents or other supervisors are obliged to ensure the safety of the persons under their supervision and to protect them from harm.

It is not permitted

• to enter the Elbauenpark while drunk or under the influence of drugs or to carry any kind of drugs.
• to beg in the Elbauenpark
• to bring animals (with the exception of assistance dogs)
• to feed animals without the authorization of the park ranger, except for goat feed purchased at the climbing park
• to enter planting areas and closed facilities
• to damage trees, flowers and branches. Fruit may only be picked and taken away with the authorisation of NKE GmbH.
• to remove or move information signs or similar
• to defecate outside the facilities provided for this purpose
• to dispose of waste outside the designated collection containers
• to drive motor vehicles without authorisation or to park them in the park without authorisation. The traffic and passage regulations of the Elbauenpark apply. (These can be viewed at www.elbauenpark.de/de/besucherinfos/parkordnung/einsehen)
• to carry bicycles and use skateboards, inline skates etc. during special events
• to enter the ramp of the Jahrtausendturm
  • outside the opening hours
  • with inline skates, skateboards, scooters, Segways, Happy Roads cars and wheels/bicycles as well as handcarts, rollators and pushchairs, etc. Wheelchair users should report to the reception counter at the main entranceto the tower.
• to hold events without the written agreement of the management
• to use the water area of the Elbauenpark (with the exception of the Kneipp pool)
• to use art objects and monuments for purposes other than their intended purpose, in particular to climb them
• to spend the night on the Elbauenpark grounds and to set up tents and pavilions without written authorisation
• to light or ignite barbecues, fires or pyrotechnic articles, except at special events with the written permission of NKE GmbH and the competent authority. Barbecuing on the designated barbecue areas is permitted after prior booking.

Smoking is absolutely prohibited in all objects, buildings and rooms of the Elbauenpark in accordance with the Non-Smoking Protection Act of Saxony-Anhalt. The ban also includes electronic cigarettes. The disturbance of non-smokers must be avoided in outdoor areas. Smoking in the immediate vicinity of children is generally not permitted.

1. Commercial activities as well as photography, filming, recording on sound carriers etc. for commercial or other non-private purposes is only permitted with the authorisation of NKE GmbH.
2. For the purpose of journalistic reporting, representatives of the press must apply to NKE GmbH for accreditation and present a valid press card. The photo/film permit must be carried at all times during the visit to the park and presented on request.
3. The use of unmanned aerial systems (drones) for commercial or private purposes is only permitted with the authorisation of NKE GmbH. When using drones weighing more than 250 gramms, proof of a drone licence and registration of the drone must be provided. The legal regulations in accordance with the European Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 20169/947 apply.

The sale or presentation of goods of any kind as well as advertising measures and the placing of advertising materials in the park area and on all outdoor areas belonging to the Elbauenpark (Jerichower Platz, car park, footpaths and roads) are prohibited without the express permission of NKE GmbH.

Visitors are liable for all damage caused by them.

1. If photographs, film and/or video recordings are made by park employees or employees of MVGM GmbH, the event organisers, representatives of the press or companies commissioned to do so in the areas covered by this regulation for reporting or advertising purposes, the recording activity may not be hindered or impaired in any other way. By entering the areas covered by this regulation, those recognisable in such recordings agree that these recordings may be used for both reporting and advertising purposes.
2. Video surveillance is sometimes used on the premises, on and in the buildings and facilities. This equipment is used in strict compliance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Further information can be found on the relevant signage.

Anyone who violates the park and visitor regulations, does not comply with the instructions of the supervisory staff or the mandatory and prohibition signs or causes a disturbance in any other way may be expelled from the Elbauenpark site without any entitlement to a refund of the entrance fee.

The staff employed by MVGM GmbH exercise domiciliary rights within the scope of their respective responsibilities and have the right to issue instructions to all persons, event organisers and service providers in order to ensure compliance with the park and visitor regulations.

Services on the park grounds, in particular catering, services etc., are mostly provided by independent companies. If problems arise, visitors are requested to contact these organisations directly.
